Members of Speak Easy visited Freedom and spoke with a group of service users. They asked our service users questions about Freedom, what they do here, what they like, any changes, etc. It was a great visit and really positive from everyone. Please see the review and feedback from Speak Easy.

“I like Freedom because it is very nice, the staff are very friendly. I get to see my friends here so it stops me being bored at home. My favourite things to do at Freedom are maths, colouring, writing, using the iPad. I also like music when we have a sing song!”.

Tracey Says…”When Allan joined Freedom he was very strong minded that he didn’t want it to be like a school setting. So we made everything person centred to him and he’s now doing maths, English, projects, art and is thriving at it all. Coming 5 days a week he is always busy doing lots of fun things! Well done Owen!”. 

“I like Freedom because I have fun here with the staff and my friends. During my days at Freedom I enjoy cooking, colouring, quizzes, sowing. I love Freedom I do!”

Mike Says…”Mike has been at Freedom since we opened. He is a very liked member of our Freedom family and will speak to all who come. Mike has completed lots of different work during his sessions such as cooking, arts and crafts, creative writing, maths, as well as making items to send to his Sister in New Zealand. Mike has also taken part in the talent shows and has now got the well known name of ‘King Mike’. Well done Mike!”. 

 I like Freedom Day Centre because I like to see all of my friends and I like hanging out. The staff are nice too and they always help me. My favourite things to do at Freedom are, costume and prop making for myself and my stage at home, I like music time and having a dance and lots more!

Tracey Says…”JP or ‘Mr Sparkle’ to his friends has been with us since 2017. He is such a creative gentleman who during each of his sessions likes to make different costumes to wear this can be from Disney characters to police officers, pirates and much more. There is a dull moment with Mr Sparkle and we look forward to seeing him each week. Weldone JP!”.

I like Freedom because we do talent shows, cooking, sports and skittles. I like the staff and people at Freedom. I am happy here. 

Tracey Says…”When Seb began attending Freedom he was slightly subdued and didn’t want to take part in much. Over the time his confidence has grown and he has become a fun, bubbly character and well liked member of Freedom. See enjoys cooking, art, skittles and time on the iPad. Well done Seb!”. 

 I like Freedom Day Centre because i like doing the activities. My favourite activity is computers.

Tracey Says…”Since joining Freedom Jodie become a very well liked lady by all staff and service users. She has been working in the kitchen and cafe, developing new skills such as reading. She has also been involved in educational activities such as computers, history, etc. Weldone Jodie!”.

I like coming to Freedom. The staff are kind and caring and I like the work. My favourite things to do at Freedom are writing, arts and crafts, sowing, gardening, cooking and much more. I just love Freedom!. 

Tracey Says…”Pauline is an absolute delight, as you can see by her picture she is a smiley, positive and happy lady who is very much liked by all staff and service users. Pauline graces us 3 days a week with her positive quotes and compliments to all of the staff. She is a try delight to be around and puts a smile on everyones face. Well done Pauline!”. 

I like Freedom because we come here and there are nice staff. I like doing the activities, my favourite activity is gardening at the church and the allotment. 

Tracey Says…”Owen has such a good sense of humour! He constantly has the centre in stitches. Owen enjoys swimming, skittles, history and art and works really hard at all of these. In the summer Owen enjoys sports at the park and shows everyone how its done! Well done Owen!”.
